The Castore 25 Table Lamp from Artemide features a smooth, spherical design with gentle curves and a minimalist, modern aesthetic that provides sufficient, long-lasting task lighting. The light not only passes through the hand-blown glass diffuser, but also the top portion of the stem, which is made from steel and covered in a white translucent polycarbonate sleeve. A removable fitting enhances the diffuser along with the tapering stem to make the transition to the blind lamp structure from the strong diffuser light smooth. The light stands on a die-cast metal alloy base, on which resides a chrome touch dimmer to precisely control the lamp’s brightness to match the needs of the task at hand.
